Quantified Tree Risk Assessment

Under the Occupiers Liability Act 1957 and 1984, land owner/estate managers have a duty of care to ensure other people are not endangered by trees on their property. Some insurers require QTRA reports as proof of compliance to this duty of care.

Lushland is certified and licenced to undertake Quantified Tree Risk Assessments (QTRA) for landowners, local authorities, parish councils and developers to quantify the level of risk posed by a tree in its current condition and location. The QTRA survey will be carried out by Paul Hegley, a professional Lantra qualified QRTA tree inspector.

The QTRA survey details the tree species, height, age, crown spread, trunk diameter, vitality, condition and target area. From the information recorded a risk rating is given for each tree depending on its condition. From the risk rating, suitable timing of the recommended works can be programmed. QTRA reports are valid for one year from the date of the site visit which complies with the landowner’s duty of care and public liability insurance.

We would be happy to discuss terms for carrying out a QTRA survey for trees growing on your land. Contact us for more details.
